What is the best flat iron type/brand?

I have naturally curly hair and i want to wear it straight once in a while but I am new to doing this myself. I went to target and i didn't realize how many different kinds of flat irons there are to choose from. I need advice on what type is the best so i don't damage my hair and what brand works the best. Also I would like to know if there are any products to use to make my hair soft and smooth. Thanks in advance. What is the best flat iron type/brand?
omg don't use CHI!!!! the worst brand i've everrr used!!! and trust me, i've used a lot!! don't listen to the other people!! since your hair is curly and probably similar to mine the results will probably be similar. CHI took soo long to straighten!! and it would be all frizzy and kinky. other people might argue otherwise because their hair is a different texture.

i highly reccommend T3 Pro by Bespoke Labs!!! it's the best one i've used so far!! it works on wet and dry hair. makes your hair the softest, shiniest and healthiest it's ever been!!! at least for me. plus it's really fast at straightening!! it takes me 5-10 minutes!!! and i have verryy thick hair!! the temperature settings go up to 450 F!!! infared, tourmaline, and ceramic technology helps make your hair shiny soft and VERRRYY straight!! i love it!!! it even comes with styling cards and info as well as a storing and cleaning heat resistance pad.

other good brands AFTER T3!!

in order from best to worst:

- sedu

- solia

- Hai

- GHD

don't buy CHI!!! waste of money and it's not that great!!! you could instead buy a T3 by Bespoke Labs which is great!!!

some good products to use are:

- heat protecting spray- i reccommend Tressame heat creations. it makes your hair soft and shiny and smooth and it smells good and it gives great protection. i use this before i straighten. i spray it through my hair

- smoothing serum- i use this to prep it for straightening. after i put on my heat protecting spray, i apply this through my hair to make it smooth and shiny. i wait for it to dry then i start straightening so after i finish, my hair is shiny and soft and less frizzy. i reccomend Biosilk Silk Therapy

- straightening hairspray or regular hairspray- i use this after i straighten my hair to keep it straight in case of humidity or etc. i reccomend:

- Herbal Essenses Pin Straight Hairspray. makes your hair straighter for longer

- Garneir Fructis holding hairspray- healthy for your hair, smells good and good for holding if you want to style your hair afterwards.

hope i helped!!! good luck!!!

the one i use is Wide single pass wet or dry. wet to dry does not damage your hair. as long as it was meant for it, your hair will be fine!!

they are all great quality though and totally worth the price. What is the best flat iron type/brand?
the best flat iron is CHI but that can cost 150 dollars...so i would suggest a vidal sassoon. i just got one by them and i love it. whatever you do DONT get a straighter slash curler or anything. and dont get one that goes from wet to dry. those kill your hair. your hair should always be dry or close to dry when you staighten it.

products you need would be a heat protectant. just about every brand makes one. they all work about the same i just got a pantene one and it makes my hair soft and protects from split ends. tresemee has a good one too. if your hair is curly then straightening it might cause you to get a bit of frizz. if that happens get an anti frizz product. those can make your hair soft too. i havent used any anti frizz things in a long time so i dont really know which ones work good now.

hope i helped!
CHI. Definetly. However they run quite expensive, so if you don't want to invest that much money in this economy then I would recommend the Revlon kind.
I have tried alot of straighteners and my favorite is chi.

and you can but different hair protecters.

(:

good luck
