You want to try the inStyler. I have had it for 3 months and it works absolutly amazing! the other flat irons will smush your hair, and that looks like crap! Also blow drying with a smoothing ';hair milk'; product is best to give your hair that sleek look before hot ironing.
I have a conair silver. It works really well and has different heat settings. Plus it's way cheaper than CHI and stuff.
CHI! this is AMAZING and actually doesn't damage your hair as much as any other flat iron.
You can find them online for less that $80.00, or at Nordstrom's Rack for less than $100.00.
They also have many cheap products that work wonders to make your hair smooth and shiny.
Sedu or GHD both work really good
The best hair straightener in the world is amika. I straighten my hair everyday and it is not damaged at all. Even my hair stylist uses this in New York. Its expensive but its worth it. GHD and Sedu are just wannabe versions of AMIKA. It costs 100 dollars.
