mine is from conair and is great to do by yourself to your own hair. it cost about $80 and ive had it for about two years and works every time i want to use it. EVERLAStING!!!

Chi is the best flat iron out there. My hair is extremely curly and I swear by it. It's a bit on the expensive side but if it's something you'll give a lot of use to than it's worth the investment. It's ceramic and wont damage your hair and my mom is a stylist and swears by it.
